Memorial

Stopped by the Veteran's Memorial Park today. The names of valley soldiers are all etched in polished local granite. Considering there are only 40K people in the whole valley (less than about 10K before 1970) there are so many names. The jungles of Viet Nam and the deserts of the Middle East claim the most souls. There's one whole stone left. I hope it never feels the etcher's hand.
