City sunrise

Back in Auckland from yesterday afternoon. Today it was back to a full day's clinic. Knowing that I also had a report to get finished by today (for a Court hearing tomorrow), I went out for a morning run. Barely into it when I saw a blackbird and took a photo. Whereupon, the camera informed me that there was no battery power remaining.

Couldn't see myself being able to get any photos later in the day, so I circled around and back to the apartment where I picked up the spare battery and went out again. In time to catch this picture of the sun partly blocked by the trunk of a palm tree, having just emerged above the hills and buildings beyond.

Quite good large
