On The Silk Road

The Silk Road exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society shows photographs of a trip through China in the early 20th Century along the old silk route. But the twist is that the journey was taken again recently and pictures were taken from the same spots to show the changes. Not surprisingly, the landscape remains very similar but the culture and way of life is now very different.

Who would have thought it?!
