Belhaven Beach

Inspired by the endless variety of Farishta’s beach scenes I thought I ought to make more use of the beach at Belhaven Bay. The only difference being that this beach is most often totally isolated lacking the extra interest of dog walkers and horse riders. Today was an ideal opportunity as there was strong side-lighting on both the beach and sea but the sky was full of thundery clouds. There was also a strong swell giving nice crisp waves. The view I’ve chosen is perhaps more of a skyscape than a seascape but that is where the main interest lies. Those foreboding clouds had lots of variety and detail in them. As ever there is the dark presence of Bass Rock out to sea.
