Sometimes it just works.
This was taken on our work car-park at the end of a long day. Better BIG
You see Jazz here sporting a mean stare - he kindly offered to pose whilst I tried getting some shots where the focus was nailed.
It's harder than it looks to get spot on focus in low light! Especially at the distance I have to be with the 135mm.
I setup a flash off to the right here on a stand, shooting into a reflective silver umbrella - the goal here was to setup, get a (focused & nicely lit) shot quickly and tear down again - which we managed in under 10 minutes!
I'm fairly happy with this one - the rim-light on the fleece - some nice colours and the cool stuff going on in the background. Only downside was the stand falling (again) in the wind - even though we'd weighed it down this time - bent the brolly a bit, but it will mend.

SB-900 on stand at 5' to camera right at 1/16 bare into reflective silver umbrella. Thanks to Jazz for your help!
