Tree, Lamb and Flag Passage, Oxford

Oxford is a wonderful city to walk around, and full of sudden arresting locations like this. Trouble is, I haven't nailed the image. I wanted to capture the textures of stone and bark, and the story (for want of a better word) of an old tree dominating this little lane in the middle of a bustling city.

Here's what I did; I took three bracketed shots, made a fairly natural HDR image and sharpened it very slightly.

But I haven't got it. So what could I do to make this a better image? Let me know, and (if it isn't too difficult!) I will try it out another day.
