Cold feet

These geese and duck don't seem to mind what must be frigid water. This is the Susquehanna River in Towanda,Pennsylvania. About 100 Canada geese have gathered on a patch of ice in the middle of the river in the past two days. I don't know if they are on their way to a warmer spot and just stopping for a rest, or if they are hanging around our area.

Warm up coming on Friday, even though they are calling for more snow over the weekend. At least the past few days have been sunny - makes it a little easier to deal with the freezing temperatures.
