EDINBURGH CASTLE

This was day 3 and the final day of Maureen's big birthday celebrations. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we headed out to The Sanctuary for a hot stone massage which was very relaxing. We then had a leisurely walk up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle where we found statues of William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce guarding the entrance. We had a very interesting guided tour before being left to examine the many buildings and history therein that make up Edinburgh Castle.
