I am a crim

We have been parking outside our house up on the pavement to leave the road clear for buses for 12 years now. We cut down the hedge which made the pavement twice as wide (I could actually park my whole car up on it its so wide) and yet the police have just knocked on my door to ask me to leave more pavement (not park on the road, just less on the pavement) because our neighbours have complained!! Apparently the disabled person up the road has to be wheeled around my car...
1. I've never seen anyone walk around my car, there is enough pavement for a person, pushchair or wheelchair but anyway what disabled person??
2. the pavement after our house narrows to a depth too narrow for a pushchair or wheelchair in one direction and goes to our parking spaces and a grass area the other way so you couldn't walk there anyway.
No one but the people in our block of houses ever walk on this pavement so who the hell is complaining about me and why didn't they just knock on our door?? I've moved the car but if it gets walloped by a double decker now I will not be happy at all!!! Grrr!
Update: Mr Policeman told Lucy there had been numerous complaints, and told our next door neighbour there had been a complaint from someone with a pushchair!! All sounds a but fishy to me!
