The Gateway Conference Centre

This is the HQ of AVDC, a new building which is rather lovely, light, airy, modern and inviting.

We were called to notice of restructure meeting today which heralded bad news for many of those in the service. Our team will not be affected by this restructure but we have been in all the previous ones, it seems to be an annual occurrence now, along with small ones in between.

I am not sure how I feel tonight, many of those affected I have worked with for quite a number of years, they are real people, people with families and plans for the future and whilst I hear that change is the way forward and that times are hard somehow they seem to be treated like numbers and that is not right.
