Against the law

Waiting for the train this morning on the platform, I noticed the group of people next to me light up their cigarettes. Right next to this sign. Being the upstanding citizen that I am, and not wanting these lovely ladies to be prosecuted, I kindly pointed out the sign to them.

The abuse returned was not expected. Think I'll keep quiet next time.
