Mum's funeral today and as the state of my room shows, despite my extensive wardrobe I could not find the right thing to wear.

An entire dressing room of blacks and greys smacked of work. Given my mother never strayed from a size 8, loved to accessorise and squeezed her cut and blow dry in before going into the hospice I wanted to do her proud.

She loved this red bag and I hope the shoes were inappropriately chic. I think she would have liked the finished result!
