A Day To Remember
We were up at 8.30 am this morning to make the most of the dry start to the day. Leslabelle and Eric had to go back to Edinburgh in the early hours of Saturday so our thoughts are with them.
After breakfast we visited the Tudor Museum, it was really a lot of fun and I took loads of pictures. We then met Roz and Frank in the afternoon. Frank gave us a nice tour of the RSC Theatre and then we went to a little tea shop for carrot cake and coffee, well that's what I had.
Then we went for a pint at the Windmill and we had to run back there as a hail storm with thunder and lightning forced us to retreat. The pain as the hailstones hit my forehead was unreal. After the Garrick where Frank played Duncan at chess, we went to the Thespian's indian restaurant where everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, yes I mean the whole restaurant.
It was then back to the Garrick till last orders when I went back to the hotel with my inflatable zimmer, just one of my many beautiful birthday presents.
The blip today is off the River Avon looking from the Theatre to the bridge. You can see how high the water is, no wonder with the amount of rain we have had since we've been here and the week before that.
