St. Louis

Missouri Day 4: We spent the day playing tourist in St. Louis. My friend has lived in Missouri for a year but hadn't had the chance to see St. Louis yet. (In her defense, it is 3.5 hours from her home.) We went up in the Gateway Arch, saw a very well done and interesting movie about the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and explored the Old Courthouse and the St. Louis Basilica. Lots of great photos -- hard to choose just one. But since this one captured 2 of the 3 major landmarks we saw, it seemed to be the best choice. And yes, the water in the fountain really was pink! Apparently the city dyed the water as part of the Race for the Cure event held during the summer. Rather odd looking actually.
