Life's a beach

We had a good day today. After some last-minute negotiations in French, Spanish, and a spot of German, we found a perfect house. It's a bit small, but it's in a quiet area with a small garden, and it's only 100 metres from this beach. The Internet connection is faster than we get at home, and it's also the cheapest house we looked at. Result! So we'll be heading back there in a few weeks.

After that, we set off for home. By a happy chance, we just happened to be passing Sant Sadurni d'Anoia around lunchtime. Somehow we found ourselves leaving the motorway and heading for Ticus again. The lovely waiter greeted us like old friends, and since it was a weekday our four delicious courses plus wine and coffee set us back a total of less than 30 euros. What a great find! Pity it's so far away from us.

Then it was a long slog home with the usual shopping stop in La Jonquera. We got back about 7:30 to be greeted ecstatically by Mystère, who just hasn't figured out the feline cold shoulder treatment our previous cat was so good at.
