Candles at Dinner

Today started with me trying to sort out a mistake we made in the office!

We ordered the wrong part from a supplier several weeks ago, so I had to drive down to Christchurch, Dorset to get it altered. It was only by good luck that we where able to to use the same product and get it re-ranged - used for measuring water pressure between two pipes - otherwise the customer would have had to wait nearly two months for a replacement!

On the way down via Salisbury - waved to Tim as I drove past - then Ringwood and on, there where still loads of floods. But because I had to get back and finish off building some instrumentation that had to be shipped via courier today, I was unable to stop to take photos! Oh the frustration! But duty calls!

Last night, with almost total lack of sleep, I faded by the time I got home today. We sat down for dinner and had our normally family chat afterwards. As I sipped my wine and looked around I realised that our Father Christmas candle was slowly becoming an empty shell. His arms had come off the other evening and little remains. But we enjoyed him while he lasted.
