JAGGED

The farmer has been busy pruning the hedges
with a massive circular saw mounted on his tractor.
It seems to shred rather than cut the branches.
I suppose the mild weather is driving the cycle on,
before everything starts to sprout new buds.

The temperature has dropped again tonight
and we finally have a rumour of snow,
which until now we have only seen on the distant mountains.
Looks like it will be just in time for my trip up north next week on business.
Well at least it will be picturesque,
although it will make the long drive on bad roads more arduous.
Couldn't decide if I should put this up in colour or not.
