Volunteer Park is a 48.3-acre park which is home to the Reservoir, Volunteer Park Conservatory, Seattle Asian Art Museum, Water Tower, Volunteer Monument (honor the volunteers of the Spanish-American War - 1898-1902, Seward Sculpture and pedestal to honor William Seward who was instrumental in purchase of Alaska in 1867, Burke Monument which honors pioneer Judge Thomas Burke (1849-1925) - "patriot, jurist, orator, friend, patron of education", and the 'Black Sun' sculpture by Isamu Noguchi.

The view features the Space Needle, Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island, and the Olympic mountains on a clear day and you can see some of it in the nighttime as well.
A beautiful place day or night a real gem in the city.
