Moscow Facades I
The facade on the home at 28 Prechistenka Street built by merchant Ivan Pavlovich Isakov in c. 1905. The building is regarded as an outstanding example of Art Nouveau in Moscow. It was taken over by the state after the 1917 revolution and became home to a communal housing association of 365 people. Today the building is back to its original status of luxury apartments.
The building was designed by Russian architect Lev Kekushev who was known for his Art Nouveau work in the early years of the 20th century.
