Noticed the wreaths laid in front of this statue in Piraeus and stopped to read the plaque. Today is the eve of the remembrance day of the men who lost their lives during the Imia crisis in 1996. The statue is of Panagiotis Vlachakos who was from Piraeus. You can read the story here.
