The old cypress tree.

This is an old cypress tree at Zoodhachos Pighi monastery ("life giving springs") set high above the Pedi valley on Symi. The tree is reportedly over 300 years old and has had its top taken out by a lightning strike. It gives shade to the monastery yard and nearby the water from the springs can be heard rushing down the pipes to the water tanks.
