The Real Deal

I made some mandarin marmalade earlier this month and although it was a bit of a cobbled together affair, it has been well received by family and friends. This time I have managed to get hold of some real Seville oranges and am about to make another batch, using a recipe sent to me by blipfriend Elspeth of Blipping Forty.

It involves a two-stage process, soaking the fruit and stones overnight and then boiling up the marmalade the next day, so I hope to have another tasty batch to see us through the next year by this time tomorrow.

It's finally stopped raining and the flooded fields are starting to re-appear and the blocked road is open to traffic again. Just hope it stays that way:-)
