Sun down
I had another trip to Ayrshire this afternoon to conduct an interview. I'm so struck by the quality of light, which changes midpoint between Glasgow and Ayrshire. Today, there was a wonderful display of gold and orange crepuscular rays at 2pm. As I was enroute to a place that was unfamiliar I knew there was a chance I'd get lost so I couldn't afford to stop. Of course the light changes in a minute so even ten minutes later all of that magic had evaporated.
I left the research participant's house around 4 and the sun was beginning to set. I hot footed it to Troon, the nearest coastline, and willed the sun and the light to hang in there for me until I got there.
The forecast tomorrow is for snow for tomorrow apparently - I have another trip out there in the morning. There may well be a completely different landscape awaiting.
