I dabbled in researching my family tree for a few years a lifetime ago

(my daughter's lifetime not mine)

anyhow today I got my a** into gear and visited the local history centre to see what I could do there or somewhere else in the borough for nothing (ok out of my rates money)

so the plan is ... pay for the Scotland's People site and use Ancestry.com free at my local library on a Friday morning as and when

sorted!
