Phalaenopsis - Butterfly Orchid

Another day of not getting out in daylight, and another 10 hour day at work. So today's subject is an orchid I bought before Christmas, it's still alive which is great, I love orchids, but despite best intentions their lives with me tend to be short-lived.

Shot with my little compact against a pink backdrop and then the pink desaturated and the colour balance tweaked to give this more purple tone which I like better.
