Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Out tonight celebrating Chinese New Year in a virtually empty chinese restaurant. A party of 6 chinese people came in and left abruptly when they discovered that the owner wasn't in the kitchen. It seems he usually cooks them "off menu" things. I guess they weren't keen on the american chinese dishes! Here's what we had.... L to R..... Shrimp with Vegetables, Combination Fried Rice and Chicken with Jalapeno. All very unauthentic, but tasty! I got a great fortune in my cookie too.... "You will soon be crossing the great waters". Yes indeedy. 2 weeks and counting! The husband's said he was "kind and generous". He most certainly is!
