Summer Day at Wanaka

Now most of the crowds have gone Wanaka is getting much better weather.
The foreshore goes for miles (around to the distant trees) and all pleasant swimming.
Currently paddle boards are the rage you start kneeling then progress to standing. Most seem to stay upright but the beginner at the right kept falling in. This area has kayaks, wind surfers, paddle boards and other craft for hire.
I like the seagulls watching everyone. For a larger view of the lake and more seagulls.

Was thrilled to see a pair of quail with 5 young in our garden. Love the way one always stands guard and the other watches their small chicks. Will try to blip them
