View from the "Cold Room"
All is blissfully quiet in the Gulf Islands. No one but Mr. Raven around. It was cloudy and wet but calm when we schlepped all our stuff from car to boat and then boat to cabin (it counts as exercise, climbing steps!) but then the mist and the wind and the rain came and I did not go out. Made a fire, read a book, and took a rare wee nap. Delicious!
This is the view out the door of the sleeping porch - Fiona calls it “the cold room” as we don’t heat it in the winter if no one is sleeping there...
3 years ago today the blip is of the Cairo airport with the crowd trying to leave on day #6 of the revolution. Our flight was scheduled, and did leave - only 6 hours late.
3 years ago yesterday on Fi’s birthday we drove thru Cairo on our bus near the reigning political party building burning near Tahrir Square.
Both bad, but historical photos. And the question is: has there been any progress??
