Reflective Thorn

The lonely survivor of numerous storms at Portencross, this thorn bush stands isolated from the hedge at the edge of a hoof-marked cattle field. I liked the feeling of remote desolation, even although it's actually a couple of yards from a roadway. To make sure I got a lot of the bleak sky in the frame of my little pocket camera, I turned it vertically and took 4 photographs side-by-side, later stitching them together into a single image in my computer.
