Pie and mash

We are on our own again after Mum and Dad left this morning. It was lovely to see them but it is also nice to get back to normal, do some washing etc. Sad huh!
We went out to Kellys on the Roman Road, East London for pie and mash this lunch time. This is a picture of my veggie pie and mash. Rather delicious. My partner is an east end Londoner born and bred and would not think of going into any other pie and mash shop! The sauce, for those not in the know, is called liquor which is a parsley sauce. I highly recommend a trip to Kellys for a really authentic English dish made properly!
