History in Your Pocket

It's pouring with rain, so I have opted for an indoor shot. These coins are all over 1600 years old. What fascinates me most is their history. Whose hands did they pass through? What did they buy? Was someone paid with them, if so, what did they do?
I bet a Roman Centurion wasn't put off by a bit of rain!
