Breakdown!

Today I broke down! I was collecting a prototype vehicle and driving it back, but because it was a prototype it had an instrument cluster from another vehicle in it. I checked before leaving that it all worked fine, and it was full of fuel. Just after I came off the motorway, the engine died! I pulled over and phoned for rescue, and then we found out that the fuel gauge had been wired up backwards so the car was actually entirely empty! Oh dear.
