Homage To The Old Masters

Not quite up to Jan Van Eyck's standards, but as close as I'm likely to get today. Now my whole kitchen smells heavenly!

I'm suffering from a very sore finger -- it's been hurting for about a month now, so I finally gave in and visited the doctor yesterday afternoon. Apparently I have torn the ligament, and so I was "treated" to a cortisone injection directly into the middle joint. Yowie!!!! "Painful" doesn't even begin to describe the experience. For the next four hours, my poor finger swelled up and shooting, burning pains ricocheted up and down. It's still very tender ... hopefully it will improve soon!
