Rainy day women

Just got back from Keswick after a scary 5 hour drive in the rain sleet and spray. After blowing a fiver on the M 6 toll we were still held up on the M 42. They don't mention that on the overhead signs.

I do admire the way the Lake District people dress appropriately for the weather. Even quite cool teenagers and elderly ladies will wear layers and layers of fleece and big chunky boots.

I don't know if it's because there are so many great outdoor shops that you have a fantastic choice, or whether it's because there are so many great outdoor shops and not much else that you have no choice.

These people were suitably clad this morning.
