A Walk Through Deb's Life

Horse Love

I've loved horses since before I was born. I think. At least as far back as I can remember. Some of the first TV shows I can remember had horses - you know, the old west (at least in America) cowboy movies. I loved them because of the sound of the clippity clop of horse hooves on that hard ground on the Hollywood set. I was mesmerized by it all - cowboys swinging on up into the saddle, giving a kick and the horse galloping off. Or simply turning the horse's head in the direction that the cowboy wanted to go...I swear I learned to ride and care for horses long before I could even speak. It's like it was in my blood. My dad loved horses too. But not my sister, or my mom. They were terrified and could hardly muster the courage to get near a horse. Why do you suppose that is? Some people connect with horses and some don't.

I want one again so bad I can taste it. But why?
