Bayun

I had travelled to the Asmat region, Papua, Indonesia, in October 2013. The capital, Agats, has only one telephone tower and a couple of internet cafes. Further inland, three hours from Agats, I found myself in Bayun. After waiting for clear nights, I finally had the chance to take the panorama of Milky Way shining upon one of the most remote areas on earth.
