January Blues - feat. Lights on the Mountain

So after some weeks of stressful planning and organising we finally had our January fundraiser for Nomad Magazine (at which I am events coordinator). The night was a huge success and we raised more than enough money to launch the magazine's Winter issue in the next couple of weeks - and some left over for our Spring edition!

The picture here is of some awesomely talented people Ellie (who I met while on exchange at Queen's University in Canada last year) and Immie Mason who together form the up and coming (soon to be famous I'm sure!) band 'Lights on the Mountain', our final act of the night! The Jazz Bar was a great venue and hopefully we will have another event here soon... or maybe I'll just visit there more often without the stress of organisation!

Needless to say the few drinks were well deserved - not just because we had to make £500 on the bar so as to avoid paying a room charge... that said the target was met easily helped along by our majority student crowd!
