RIP Carol

My friend Carol passed away early this morning. I received the call at 5:19 am. Carol had gone into the hospital for a routine disc surgery. She had some complications with bleeding after the surgery and the staff was unable to get an airway in and she went with O2 for to long.
Carol has spent the last 9 years in a nursing home as a result. She lost everything. She was unable to feed herself, walk or speak very well etc. She did however remember our friendship and we had good times reminiscing.
My mind tells me she is at peace now but my heart hurts knowing she is now gone.
These flowers are from my sister-in-law Linda's moms funeral today. They had a really nice service for her. Mrs. Westman was 93 years old.
