Davis Cup in San Diego

A day of working whenever and wherever possible. Woke up to an invite to a conference call at 8am-9am where I actually asked some questions! Then made our way downtown for the tennis at petco park. I dived into a local hotel's lobby to take our team meeting call at 10-11am while mum went into the stadium. The call overran but made it round the corner to the stadium to watch Murray win the first game.

Made it into the stand and mum was nowhere to be seen. Having no way of contacting her I was wondering if she made it at all! Turns out she was in the wrong section and managed to spy her from where I was sitting. At the next break I rounded her up and we moved to where we were meant to sit. However there were tons of empty seats so we actually sat in the more expensive seats getting a view comparable to on TV. I spent a lot of time firing off emails from my phone to look like I was working!

Murray won comfortably in 3 sets. Up next was James ward and from where we were sitting it looked like my dopple ganger! So weird it was like a out of body experience. Anyway he managed to turn it around from what seemed like a 3-0 whitewash and won in 5. Great results and shut up the Yanks in the crowd.

Got back home and drank a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. More of the same tomorrow for the doubles. Hopefully some more sunshine!
