One of the problems
with ye olde English Autumn is that, although we have a fairish range of colours (Pinkerton's assorted) they aren't quite as well behaved as "them over there" in the New version.
The range can span all from delicate gold, through pure rust, to burgundy. The BIG "however" is that they spread themselves out and take it in turn to be resplendent.
The result can be anything from a single tree ranging from leafless in part to green in part and trees of the same type showing the same variance.
This was at a pub "The Dormouse" near York. Bit north for a Dormouse I'd have thought.
