Reporters at the Port

What an interesting cruise! It was fascinating to turn on the TV on the ship and see us all over the news! During lunch we watched on a cellphone as a helicopter filmed us going under the Verrazano Bridge. Once we were docked we could see all the news vans and reporters lined up. Getting off the ship, reporters were filming us. The luggage porters were all wearing masks and gloves. Customs officials just wanted the immigration and Customs forms. They were wearing gloves and masks and said they did not need to see (touch) our Passports! Steve, the Mayor, stopped to give an interview. I walked straight through and went to the car! Despite the illness and precautions, we are left with good memories of this cruise!
