Messing about on the River?

Actually, I don't think he can read the sign :-)

This should be the walk way down to the river, which is usually behind the trees at the back, clearly the swans don't care whether it's river or floodwater but it cut our walk short as I didn't fancy a paddle today.
As we had a sunny day that was only forecast to last until lunchtime we tried to make the most of it by walking round the old gravel pits, now a nature reserve. We had a pleasant stroll which was shorter than expected because we couldn't get along the riverside but I still managed to get plenty of photos of the wildlife and went with this peaceful scene in the end :-) hope you've had some sunshine too :-))
