Little & Large

Two very different visitors to the bird feeders this morning! The little one is a dunnock, a shy robin-sized bird and a ground feeder like the robin. The large is, of course, a colourful (and extremely noisy) male pheasant, which we haven't seen for a while. We heard him before we saw him, as he came strutting across the grass demanding his due deference by the other feeding birds:-) After hoovering up most of the spilled seed, he left, still chatting away to himself. Hope he'll be back again soon, as he is very entertaining!

We had a lovely blue sky this morning - for all of about ten minutes! Then the clouds rolled in, the rain started and it hasn't stopped since. Hope you've had better luck where you are:-)
