Brizzle

According to the M Shed museum of Bristol, Brizzle is just one of the local pronunciations unique here in this city, others include adding an l on to the end of words and the word 'to' to the end of sentences.

We are visiting Grace and John in the last week of her 29 th year! This morning we walked under blue skies ( and an eye watering wind) down from Gloucester Rd into Cheltenham Rd and Stokes Croft where the wall art famous in Bristol is particularly prevalent. It is here that Banksy is said to have started the wall art (Street Art) that has made him famous all over the world.
I particularly like the decoration on this lovely little shop selling art and crafts and I bought some lovely ceramic buttons here and will now have to knit something suitable to show them off!

Down on the quay we visited M Shed and excellent new museum of Bristol life and people. Well worth a visit.

We had lunch at one of the many fantastic stalls in St Nicholas Market, today we had Portugese ( the amazing Pieminster had a power cut!!) and then walked back up in time to watch the England rugby game.

Heading out for a celebratory South Indian meal tonight for Grace's' birthday.
