Happy Year of the Horse

Took a walk in the rain along muddy canal paths to see the big metal equine heads this afternoon, at Samantha's suggestion. Quite happy to do that as it put off the inevitable trolley scrum grocery shop for a bit.

Haven't been along here for a couple of months and it's now into the final run up to the big opening. It's hard to 'unveil' 30m, 300 tonne structures that have been dominating the landscape at the side of the M9 motorway for the past six months, but this week they began selling tickets for the first tours around (and inside) the giant sculptures*. Might wait until the first mad rush is over before signing up for that though.

*If you go large you can see a set of doors at the base of the nearest kelpie that allow access.
