Snowdrops in Hermitage Wood
We took our daughter to Stirling University today, to meet up with Scottish Pals from universities down south, who were up for the British Universities Cross Country Championships. While they were enjoying themselves, we went for a walk in Hermitage Woods, that lie north of the campus on the southern slopes of the Ochils. There are some great conglomerate crags and good views out over Stirling, with the Castle and the Wallace Monument prominent. These snowdrops are almost fully out and looked lovely in the woods. We also saw Rhododendrons out in the gardens of the campus, and that's very early.
