Butterflies at Wisley
I almost forgot I was supposed to be at Wisley this morning with the Hampshire Photography group.
We met early to avoid the throng but I got the idea that the weather forecast must have put many off. Although the greenhouses was full there wasn't much of a queue. It was bitterly cold in the wind but in the hot house I could have done with a lighter under layer to strip down to. There certainly were butterflies, we were as good as banned from using tripods as we were not alone and every man woman and child tried to get as close as possible. I might go up again on Monday morning when there aren't as many people around and make my RHS membership worthwhile.
I have my own group event tomorrow. There were over twenty of us today which I'm quite glad for my first events not to have. Nine of us are going to do photography at the Gunpowder Mills. It seems a lot of people are interested in Urbex photography. The mills really may not be what they expect but I'm sure they'll like it...as long as they come in wellies!
