Shining Levels

England's largest lake, Windermere, looking it's moody best. John Wyatt the 1st ever national park warden called them the Shining Levels and on a day like today you can see why. I am up in the Lakes for a few days at Patterdale for a bit of R&R although resting means getting up the hills and recuperation enjoying the odd beer in the evening. This view was taken from near the summit of Wansfell above Ambleside.
