but Brussels Sprouts grown in the veggie bed in Florence /Oregon and found in January when we arrived. When we left Oregon in October, I had basically emptied the veggie bed and left these few stalks standing, just to see what would happen. Well, they did fine, inspite of 2 weeks of very harsh frost. The sprouts were no bigger than the top of my pinky , the biggest ones as the top of my thumb at best, which caused the cleaning job to be lengthy :-) But cooked with a little bit of fennel seed, served with Mahi Mahi and mustard sauce, as well as potatoes and fresh lettuce it made for a delicious home made and home grown dinner.

Thanks to all of you who liked my view of Reno yesterday. Your kindness brought the picture to the spotlight for 12 hours at a nice place. Made me very happy. As I had three shots of this view to choose from I today stitched them together and you can see the complete skyline here. I love the view myself. Enjoy!

I wish you all a wonderful sunday and I promise to visit your journals tonight!
