Plough Days
Each year around this time we are treated to 'Plough Days' at Dudley Farm. The Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Florida State Park. It is an authentic working farm and demonstrates the evolution of Florida family farming from the 1850s to the mid-1940s. The park's staff dresses in period clothing and performs the daily chores around the farm. The Farm is a State and Local treasure.
This mule's name is Nancy. She and her partner mule SusieQ were part of the ploughing demonstration this weekend. Their handler is a local volunteer at the Farm. And since I finally took the time to figure how to do that Link Thing…if you have a few extra minutes and would like to see more of the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire from my Raptor Blip yesterday... you can click RightHere. Hope you enjoy:)
